Jefferson Land Trust welcomes Jennifer Kidder as its next Executive Director. A Port Angeles resident and experienced nonprofit leader with more than two decades of work at the intersection of conservation, education, and community partnership, Jennifer brings deep expertise in organizational leadership, fundraising, board governance, and partnership development to one of the Olympic Peninsula’s most beloved conservation organizations.
Most recently, Jennifer served as Campus Director for NatureBridge at Olympic National Park, where she oversaw all campus operations, led a team of 30 staff, and managed a multifaceted organization functioning simultaneously as a school, lodge, and field campus. In that role, she served as the primary liaison to the National Park Service, tribal partners, funding agencies, and educational partners, while leading regional development efforts including major donor cultivation, corporate partnerships, and grant administration. She also served as the organization’s advocacy lead, most recently securing Congressionally Directed Funds in partnership with Senator Murray’s office.
Jennifer’s background spans conservation biology, geography, environmental education, and business, and she approaches organizational leadership from a systems perspective. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University and has served in board leadership roles with the Washington Outdoor School Coalition, where she currently serves as Board Chair, and the North Olympic Land Trust, which she joined in 2026.
Jennifer’s connection to the Olympic Peninsula is personal and deep. A longtime community member and conservation advocate, she brings genuine passion for the landscapes and communities Jefferson Land Trust serves. Her career reflects a consistent commitment to collaborative leadership, meaningful partnerships, and the belief that the health of our communities and our planet is rooted in connection to nature and to each other.
