Melanie Parker joins the Land Trust of Napa County as the new CEO, bringing an impressive background in conservation that spans over 20 years. Her most recent role as Deputy Director for the Sonoma County Regional Parks District equipped her with extensive experience in land management and collaboration. In this position, she served as a liaison between the district and community groups, tribal governments, local partners, and other land trusts. She also successfully led the passage and implementation of a local park funding measure across nine cities, demonstrating her ability to drive impact.
As President of the Board of Together Bay Area, Melanie is a recognized leader in regional stewardship and critical collaborative conservation efforts. Her comprehensive skills in strategy, stakeholder engagement, and land conservation and stewardship make her the ideal leader to build upon the Land Trust's established foundation and advance its mission of protecting Napa County's natural resources.
