The Irvine Ranch Conservancy is thrilled to promote Nathan Cruse Gregory into the newly created role of Senior Vice President and Chief Programs Officer. Gregory is a highly experienced conservation professional with an impressive 25-year career. He has been a driving force in IRC’s organizational strategy, previously serving as Vice President and Chief Programs Officer, and before that as Director of Science and Stewardship.
Gregory's background in international conservation and extensive experience in the field drew him to the organization and the role, where he saw the unique complexity of conservation issues in Southern California aligning with his interests in migration issues, habitat preservation, and the interaction of people with the landscape. Gregory thrives on the unique challenges presented by diverse partners in Orange County, actively engaging and maintaining strong relationships and partnerships. His dedication to community engagement is evident in his efforts to establish community nurseries and workforce development programs for future conservation leaders. He holds a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Science from Princeton University.
