Most recently, Bloemsma served on the senior leadership team of REI Experiences, a division of REI Co-op. There, she reengineered the division’s operating model to increase customer engagement and support profitable growth through new opportunities and innovative product scaling. “This role brings my expertise and my driving passions into perfect alignment,” said Bloemsma. “I could not be more excited to join the Conservancy and serve the park.”
“Katrina’s analytical approach and her passion for our mission make her a perfect fit for Grand Canyon Conservancy,” said Theresa McMullan, Chief Executive Officer. “We are not a typical nonprofit. We’re also a retailer and outdoor excursion provider. When you shop with us, your purchase goes towards protecting and enhancing Grand Canyon National Park for present and future generations. Katrina’s recent work at REI Experiences sits right at this intersection of business and service, and her understanding of this dynamic will have an enormous impact on the Conservancy and on visitor experiences at Grand Canyon National Park.”
