NatureBridge connects young people to the wonder and science of the natural world at Yosemite National Park and Golden Gate National Recreation Area in California, Olympic National Park in Washington, and Prince William Forest Park in Virginia. Its innovative programs take students out of the classroom and into national parks, where they spend multiple days immersed in nature and discover the joy of the outdoors through exploration, collaboration, and learning.
For over 50 years, NatureBridge has adapted to address the evolving needs of its students across dynamic educational landscapes, the growing complexity of the modern world, and an environment shaped by climate change. To remain at the forefront, NatureBridge continually seeks volunteer leaders to help amplify its impact, engage in its work, reach new communities, and bring fresh perspectives into the organization.
NatureBridge accepts applications year-round to build a steady pipeline of board members and ensure it draws on a broad range of professional and lived experiences to better meet the opportunities and challenges ahead. Applicants will be considered for its national Board of Directors, national committees, and regional boards (Golden Gate, Mid-Atlantic, Olympic, and Yosemite). The position profile (see link below) provides more details on each governing body.
