Yosemite Conservancy welcomes Rebecca Johnson as its next Chief Financial Officer. With more than 35 years of financial leadership in nonprofit and global financial services organizations, Rebecca brings expertise in strategic planning, endowment oversight, financial systems, and board engagement, as well as a lifelong love of the outdoors.
Most recently, Rebecca served as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at World Monuments Fund, where she modernized the organization’s accounting systems, led the selection of an investment manager for its $60 million endowment, and built a resilient finance and administrative team. Earlier in her career, she led a firmwide planning transformation at Citi and spent nearly three decades at Wells Fargo, rising to Executive Vice President and presenting the company’s annual budget to its Board of Directors.
Rebecca’s appreciation for public lands took root during childhood visits to Shades State Park in Indiana and grew during a high school summer restoring trails with the Youth Conservation Corps in Hoosier National Forest. She has served on the finance committees of Rubicon Programs, Shawl-Anderson Dance Center, and Raising a Reader, and holds an MBA from Warwick Business School and a BA in Economics from Swarthmore College. Now returning to the Bay Area, she brings her financial leadership to the Conservancy’s century-long partnership with Yosemite National Park.
