The Chief Executive Officer will oversee the staff of the Jefferson County Greenways Foundation and the Jefferson County Greenways Commission. The CEO will guide the work of the Foundation, completing the integration of the three founding entities and continuing to build the framework for a cohesive, effective organization. While the Commission is primarily responsible for the work on-the-ground in the parks, the Foundation and its CEO are responsible for the activities that support those efforts, including programs, conservation, capital improvements, and fundraising.
Location
This position will work from Jefferson County Greenways Foundation’s office at Ruffner Mountain in Birmingham, AL.
Compensation
This is a full-time, exempt, benefit-eligible position. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $110,000-$130,000, commensurate with experience.
Jefferson County Greenways Foundation provides a comprehensive benefits package including paid holidays and paid time off, health and dental coverage, including 100% of individual premiums paid by the Foundation, and life insurance and AD&D with 100% of premiums paid by Foundation.
Of note, living expenses in Birmingham, AL are below the national average. Its cost of living and home prices are below the national average, while its school systems are ranked among the best in Alabama and are competitive across the country.
